The Management of DASAC, represented by the Rector, Prof. Enoidem Usoro, on Friday the 30th of August 2024, met with the Management of Akwa Ibom Investment Corporation (AKICORP) led by the Managing Director/CEO, Mr Imo-Abasi Jacob as part of an ongoing briefing with State Owned Enterprises(SOEs) to discuss ways AKICORP could support DASAC in its operations.

The goal of the meeting was to gain understanding on the operations, milestones and challenges faced by DASAC as well as to determine how best both bodies can work together for the common good.

Mr. Jacob commended the operational model of DASAC which is process-driven saying it’s one that should be emulated by tertiary institutions. He expressed his confidence in the quality of members of both the Governing Council and Management and assured DASAC Management that the implementation of the school program will be monitored.

The highlight of the meeting was a progress report presentation by the Rector of DASAC which covered key milestones in the areas of Trainee enrolment, graduation rate as well as revenue generation models. The report also captured major strides and incorporation of emerging technology into DASAC’s processes.

Also present in the meeting were some Management Team of AKICORP including Mr Innocent Okure, Deputy Director, Project Monitoring and Implementation, Mr. Jacob Ikpe, Deputy Director, Entrepreneurship and Business Development, Mr Ofonmbuk Nelson, Director, Agricultural Investments, Barr. Sunday Edem, Secretary/Legal Adviser, Corporate and Legal Services and Dr. Ntiedo Ekpo, Director, Finance and Accounts.
