The Dakkada Skills Acquisition Centre (DASAC) successfully held its Second Graduation Ceremony on Thursday, December 11, 2025, marking a significant milestone in its ongoing commitment to youth empowerment, workforce development, and sustainable skills training.

The ceremony was graced by the Deputy Governor, Senator Dr. Akon Eyakenyi, who attended as the official representative of the Governor His Excellency, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno Ph.D., reaffirming the administration’s strong support for skills development, vocational education, and entrepreneurship as key drivers of economic growth in alignment with the Governor’s ARISE agenda. The presence of the Deputy Governor underscored the government’s dedication to empowering citizens with practical, industry-relevant skills.

Also in attendance were Commissioners, Local Government Chairpersons, Vice Chancellors, Rectors, Provosts, policymakers, community leaders, and stakeholders from various sectors, all of whom gathered to celebrate the achievements of the graduating trainees and the impact of the Center’s programs.

During the event, graduates were formally presented, with the best graduating student giving a valedictory speech, having successfully completed intensive training across multiple skill areas designed to improve employability, encourage self-reliance, and foster innovation. The graduates showcased the knowledge and competencies acquired during their training by exhibiting their products, reflecting the quality and effectiveness of the Centre’s curriculum.

In the Deputy Governor’s address, she commended the graduates for their dedication and resilience, while encouraging them to apply their skills responsibly and contribute meaningfully to economic and community development. She also praised the management and trainers of the Dakkada Skills Acquisition Centre for their professionalism and alignment with the government’s human capital development agenda.

The management of the Center expressed gratitude to the Governor, the Deputy Governor, and all government officials present for their continued support.
